When tooth decay reaches the dental pulp, the blood vessels and nerves inside the tooth can become inflamed, and without treatment, the pulp may die. In such cases, our goal is to save the tooth through root canal treatment.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, removing inflamed or necrotic tissue from the pulp chamber and root canals, followed by thorough cleaning and disinfection, and finally sealed with a specialized filling material. This eliminates infection and hermetically isolates the tooth’s interior from the external environment, preventing further complications.

Root-treated teeth often become more fragile, so if a significant portion of the tooth structure is lost, it is restored with an inlay or crown to ensure long-term functionality and durability.

At our clinic, we use state-of-the-art technology: an apex locator and endodontic microscope allow us to determine the canal length with pinpoint accuracy. This ensures the root filling is neither too short (leaving residual infected tissue) nor too long (which could irritate surrounding tissues).

Microscope-assisted endodontic treatment is one of the most precise and reliable procedures in modern dentistry. High magnification and intense illumination allow the dentist to identify and treat tiny root canals, cracks, and defects that are invisible to the naked eye.

This technology is essential because root canal anatomy is often complex and unpredictable. Using a dental microscope enables thorough cleaning, disinfection, and sealing of the canals with maximum control and accuracy, significantly improving treatment outcomes.

Benefits of microscopic endodontics:

superior precision and visibility

detection of hidden canals and complex issues

higher success rates

reduced risk of reinfection

long-term preservation of the natural tooth

The goal of microscopic endodontics is not only to relieve pain, but to save the tooth in a safe, predictable, and long-lasting way.

If a tooth’s crown breaks but healthy tooth structure remains above the gum line, the tooth can be reconstructed using a root post, onto which a crown is later placed. This allows the remaining root to become a fully functional, natural tooth again.

Requirements for root post placement:

a stable, well-anchored root,

properly performed root canal treatment,

no lesions around the root tip,

sufficient tooth structure above the gum line.

At our clinic, whenever possible, we use fiber-reinforced posts, which are highly aesthetic and have elasticity similar to natural tooth structure, reducing the risk of root fracture that can occur with metal posts.

Goal: preserve the patient’s natural tooth for the long term – precise, aesthetic, and safe.
